Deleting your data

How to delete what the South Bend Help Finder stores in your account, in plain language.

What is stored, and only if you sign in

If you never sign in, we store nothing about you. Your day, your plan, and your saved places stay on your phone only.

If you choose to sign in, your day, your plan, your saved places, any form you save, and any form you send are also stored in your account, so they sync and you can see them on your other phones and computers too. Sign-in and accounts are handled by Firebase, a Google service. That account copy is what this page deletes.

How to delete it

  1. Open the South Bend Help Finder.
  2. Sign in the way you usually do (Google, Facebook, email, or phone).
  3. Go to Your account.
  4. Tap “Delete my account data.”
  5. Confirm that you want to delete.

Your saved day, plan, saved places, and saved forms are deleted from your account, and your sign-in is deleted too. The forms you sent are deleted by our team as part of that same deletion.

Sometimes the app asks you to sign out, sign back in, and try once more. That is a safety check, so only you can delete your account. Your saved day, plan, saved places, and saved forms are already deleted at that point, and our team deletes the forms you sent in that same pass; signing back in and tapping the button again finishes deleting the sign-in.

If you use the app without an account

Nothing is stored on our side, so there is nothing here to delete. What is on your phone is yours: use the Clear buttons in My Day and My Plan to clear them, and tap Save on a saved place again to take it out of your saved places.

Deletion is permanent

Deleted account data cannot be brought back. You can always use the app again afterwards, with or without a new account.
